The main street of its Heritage District (Historic Downtown) is filled with lush gardens, historic buildings and monuments, boutiques, restaurants, antique shops, delicious bistros and cafes, breweries and distilleries, the world-class theater home to the Shaw Festival Theatre, as well as horse-drawn carriage rides among the scenery of the Niagara River and Lake Ontario.
