About This Experience

Kayaking with us on Old Hickory Lake allows you to observe the diverse wildlife including bald eagles, great blue herons, ospreys, turtles and many more that call the lake home. Our tour guide will lead you along the way, providing interesting facts about the area, and helping point out the various wildlife along our paddle. Departing from Bledsoe Creek State Park, our tour guide will lead you through part of Old Hickory Lake to see some of the most beautiful landscapes in the area, while enjoying the tranquility of the water. While in a clear kayak, this allows for the unique opportunity to see the water flowing all around you.

Once entering the park you will go past the Visitor Center building and through the gates. You will drive a short distance down to Deer Run Road and turn right. Head down, through the campsites and there will be a green fence on your left, park just in front of the fence labeled "overflow parking"!
