Day 3

   Learn about the social, economic, and cultural history of Pais Vasco, from prehistoric times to the present, through interactive exhibits and multimedia installations.

2. Mount Urgull

   Hike to the top of this hill and discover a fortress, a cemetery, a lighthouse, and even some goats and ponies, as well as stunning views of the city and the sea.

3. Museo del Whisky

   180 minutes

   Taste some of the finest and rarest whiskies from Scotland, Ireland, Japan, and Pais Vasco, and learn about the history and art of whisky-making around the world.

Day 4

1. Santuario de Loyola

   150 minutes

   Pilgrimage to the birthplace of St. Ignatius of Loyola, the founder of the Jesuits, and admire the Baroque basilica and the Renaissance palace where he grew up.

2. Txakoli Wineries

   210 minutes

   Taste the crisp and fruity white wine of Pais Vasco, called Txakoli, and explore the vineyards and cellars where it is produced, overlooking the Bay of Biscay.

3. Flysch Geopark

   Walk along the stunning cliffs and beaches that have recorded the geological history of the Earth for the past 60 million years, and see some fossils and marine wildlife.

Day 5

1. Hermitage of San Juan de Gaztelugatxe

   Climb the stairs of this picturesque chapel built on an islet connected to the mainland by a narrow bridge, and admire the panoramic views and the legends related to it.

2. Coastal Route

   Drive or cycle along the winding roads and coves of the Basque Coast Geopark, and enjoy the refreshing sea breeze, the wild beaches, and the bird sanctuaries.

3. Urdaibai Bird Center

   Observe the diversity and beauty of the birdlife that inhabits the protected wetlands and estuaries of the Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve, and learn about their migrations and habitats.

Day 6

1. La Rioja Wineries

   Taste the rich and complex red wines of La Rioja, one of the most renowned wine regions in the world, and explore the vineyards and wine cellars that produce them, surrounded by stunning landscapes.

2. Monasterio de Yuso

   Visit the birthplace of the Spanish language, where the first written words in Castilian were found, and admire the Romanesque monastery that still houses one of the oldest libraries in Europe.

3. Logroño Old Town

   Walk through the lively and colorful streets and squares of the capital of La Rioja, and taste some of its famous pintxos and wines, such as patatas bravas, bacalao, or tempranillo.
