The caves were built over two periods – from the second century BC to the second century AD and the period of rule of the Satavahanas and the Shakas. Finish off the day with a beautiful sunset view from Rajmachi Point.

Bhaja
180 minutesWake up early and head to the Bhaja Caves for a beautiful sunrise climb. The caves were built around the 2nd century BC and are a group of 22 rock-cut caves. The area is also known for its scenic waterfalls and woodland areas. Be sure to look out for wild animals such as monkeys and leopards.

Tiger's Leap
120 minutesAfter lunch, head to Tiger's Leap, or the Waghai Peaks, which offer a stunning panoramic view of the valley. The spot is named for its resemblance to a crouching tiger. You can also go on a thrill ride with ziplining or rappelling with a professional adventure company.

Lohagad Fort
180 minutesFinish your day with a visit to Lohagad Fort, a 16th-century hill fort. The fort was built by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and was once used to protect the trade route between Khanderi and Mumbai. The fort provides an excellent panoramic view of the surrounding hills.

240 minutesOn your last day, hike to the Tung Fort which is a hill fort situated at a height of 1075 meters. The fort has a captivating view and was used as a watchtower in the past. It also served as a major military fortification during the Maratha Empire.

180 minutesSpend the afternoon at the Pavana Lake. The lake is located near Pavana Dam and provides a lovely view of the Western Ghats. It is also home to numerous species of birds and butterflies, making it a popular spot for bird watchers.
