Take a stroll along Malecon 2000, a scenic boardwalk overlooking the Guayas River. Enjoy the views of the river and the city skyline as well as the sculptures and gardens along the way.

Stroll through the colourful and historic neighbourhood of Las Penas, filled with brightly painted houses and cobblestone streets. Visit the famous lighthouse and enjoy the bohemian vibes of the area.

Head to Mercado del Rio for lunch, a hip and trendy food market with various international and local food options. Grab a craft beer or cocktail while you're at it.

Take a walk along the Malecon del Salado, a newer boardwalk that overlooks a mangrove swamp and is filled with restaurants and bars. Enjoy the sunset over the river and relax before ending your trip.
